ARKIS Interface

An  example of the user interface of ARKIS is illustrated below. Up to 60 variables can be plotted on either 1 or 2 X-Y graphs. The X axis (time) is variable in 10 minute increments in the range 10 minutes to 24 hours. The gain and offset of the Y axes are variable throughout the range of physiological variables (Including -ve values). All drop-down menus are fully configurable by the user.

The user can document all aspects of anaesthesia including:

Biographic data
Airway management
Regional techniques
Monitoring
Cardio-pulmonary bypass data
Anaesthetic personnel
Surgical personnel
Drug/Fluid administration
Events
Freehand Notes

The application includes a sophisticated printing module which prints the data outlined above together with a single or double trend graph record on a single sheet of A4 paper. ( If more than 50 drugs, fluids or events are recorded, a second page is added to the printed record).

The system permits the editing of spurious data points, but keeps an audit trail of any alterations.

A typical dual trend graph display is shown below.
