Shiatsu

Shiatsu is a Japanese form of therapeutic massage. Shiatsu means ‘finger pressure’. The basis and application of Shiatsu is similar to that of acupuncture. For example, when using shiatsu to relieve labour pain, pain-relieving pressure points (‘tsubo’) are stimulated which are similar to pressure points used in acupuncture but without the use of needles.
